Tyahija Martin (THEY/THEM)
Tyahija is a Black queer non-binary masc of center attorney based in Washington, DC, with roots in the Deep South. They graduated from the illustrious Howard University School of Law in May 2021. Tyahija works at Girls For Gender Equity as an Equal Justice Works Legal Fellow sponsored by Mayer Brown LLP
and Spotify. -
Damala Miller (SHE/HER)
Damala is a dark-skinned Black girl from Brooklyn, NY with strong family roots in Guyana. Damala works at Girls for Gender Equity’s as the Organizing Manager where she convenes GGE alum, in the Speakers’ Bureau program, as well as, other Black youth across the country to organize around Ending Gender-Based Violence, Building Cultures of Consent, Decriminalization of Black Girls, and Expanding Education Justice and Equity for Black youth.

Nia Oden (SHE/HER)
Nia is a Black girl from Brooklyn, NY. Nia started at Girls for Gender Equity as an MSW intern and is currently a Program Liaison. Nia works closely with Damala to organize around Ending Gender-Based Violence, Building Cultures of Consent, Decriminalization of Black Girls, and Expanding Education Justice and Equity for Black youth.

Diana Walker (THEY/THEM)
Diana is a first-generation Vietnamese-American graphic designer in New York City with roots cultivated Bay Area soil. Diana proudly works as the Manager of Graphic Design and Visual Content at Girls For Gender Equity.

Abigail Morin (she/her)
Abi is a young Black girl and a Brooklyn native with strong family roots in Haiti. She started her role at Girls Gender Equity as an intern for Sisters in Strength (SIS) in 2021. Abi now works closely with Tyahija as their Legal Intern helping to cultivate the KYR project.
